Which System Should You Actually Use?
If you've started looking into any of this, you've hit the same wall everyone does: four systems, all promising to explain you, all with confident followers, and no obvious way to choose.
The good news is that the choice is more tractable than it looks — because these systems aren't competing to answer the same question. They answer different questions, and picking well is mostly a matter of knowing which question you actually have.
The short answer

That last column decides more than people expect. If you don't have your exact birth time, two of the four are immediately weaker — and no amount of enthusiasm fixes it.
Astrology
Pick it if you want the fullest picture, you care when things happen, or you want a system deep enough to keep unfolding for years. Nothing else here has astrology's timing machinery: transits and progressions can tell you which chapter you're in, which is why it's the only one of the four that's genuinely predictive in shape.
Skip it if you want something quick. Astrology is enormous, ambiguous and slow to learn — any placement can be read several ways, and two competent astrologers can hand you two different readings from the same chart. That flexibility is its power and its weakness.

Human Design
Pick it if you want something you can use on Monday. Of the four, it's the most immediately practical: your type tells you how to engage with opportunities, your authority tells you how to make a decision. That's a usable protocol, not a description.
Skip it if you want nuance about content. Human design is prescriptive about mechanics and near-silent about subject matter — it'll tell you how to decide and nothing about what the decision means.
Reality check: it's the least forgiving about birth time. Half your chart is calculated from a point about 88 days before you were born, and an hour's error can change your type outright.
Numerology
Pick it if you want clarity fast, or you're the sort of person who bounces off astrology's ambiguity. Numerology is arithmetic: a small number of positions, each with a defined meaning. You can understand your life path in ten minutes and it'll still be true in ten years.
Skip it if you want timing or situational detail. It describes character with unusual clarity and circumstance barely at all.
Reality check: it needs your full birth name as registered, not the name you use — and a surprising number of online calculators use the wrong reduction method.
Matrix of Destiny
Pick it if your birth time is lost, or your interest is the family pattern — the money story, the thing you inherited. The karmic tail is the most direct treatment of inherited material in any of the four.
Skip it if you want something that distinguishes you as an individual. Because it uses only your date, everyone born the same day has an identical matrix. It describes a real pattern that you share with a great many people.
Reality check: it's the youngest and least regulated. Choosing a reader matters more than in the others.
Choose by your question instead
Often the cleanest route is to ignore the systems and start from what you actually want to know.

Which is the most accurate?
The honest answer is that none of them has a demonstrated physical mechanism, so "accurate" isn't quite the right frame. What differs is how falsifiable each one is.
Human design makes the narrowest claims — a specific type, a specific decision protocol — which makes it the easiest to test against your own life and the easiest to find wrong. Astrology makes the richest claims and the hardest to pin down. Numerology sits in between. The Matrix is the most archetypal, and the most likely to describe something true of many people at once.

Why the question is slightly wrong
